kappakappa I like Mindmelt for the classical references to first wave IDM and Acuate Distress for the polyrithms extravaganza and cavernous soundscapes in the background. But this is a masterpiece in its own merit. This isn't just a masterclass in what you can achieve with a Digitone; this drives you outside of your comfort zone like a car crash on a rainy night, but its also a wonderful example of what non mainstream electronics can achieve in terms of power of sounds. I want Teeth on a big soundsystem. Favorite track: Teeth.

darylwm Fantastic example of what the Digitone can do in the hands of an artist. Favorite track: Teeth.

g l o o m s Auvrel continues to deliver with hard hitting hardware music that seems to seep into your soul and finds its way to control your brain! The distortion adds that extra grit to get me through these tough times. Favorite track: Read Receipts.

cold_fashioned Absolutely stunning. The use of distortion as a part of the composition process is eye-opening in how completely it's used. Yet, it's not overused (to me, at least \m/). I haven't been this moved by music in a while. It's beautifully harsh. At the end, I'm ready for a nap, some deep breaths and MORE!

about

Amidst the washes of noise gasping for air behind a wall of bass, there are moments of beauty, constantly fighting for attention. Cherish these glimmers of light, as one might not know how long they will last.

Ess M / Auvrel is an artist and designer based in Göteborg, Sweden.
A long obsession with synthesizers led Ess to work on the Digitone FM synth & Model:Cycles groovebox for the synthesizer manufacturer Elektron.
